See how savings or investments grow when interest is added to your balance and earns interest too.
How the calculation works
Your starting amount grows by the interest rate each compounding period. Optional monthly contributions are added throughout the term, and the result shows the final balance, total money put in and the interest earned.
Formula used
A = P × (1 + r/n)^(n×t), where P = principal, r = annual rate, n = compounds per year, t = years
Example
$10,000 at 5% compounded monthly for 10 years grows to $16,470.09, which is $6,470.09 of interest.
