Estimate the end balance of an investment with regular monthly or yearly contributions.

How the calculation works

The balance grows each month at the effective rate from your chosen compounding. Contributions are added monthly or yearly. The table shows your deposits, interest and balance for every year.

Formula used

Balance = previous balance × (1 + monthly rate) + contribution

Example

$10,000 at 7% for 15 years with $200 added monthly grows to about $91,882 on $46,000 of deposits.

Frequently asked questions

Is the return guaranteed?

No. Investment returns vary and can be negative.

What if I contribute yearly?
