Hours Calculator

Home › Other Calculators › Hours Calculator

Work out hours worked between a start and end time, minus breaks, with optional pay.

How the calculation works

Enter your start time, end time and unpaid break. If the end time is earlier than the start time, the shift is treated as an overnight shift. Add the days worked and an hourly rate to get totals and pay.

Formula used

Hours = (end time − start time − break) ÷ 60

Example

9:00 to 17:30 with a 30 minute break is 8 hours, or 40 hours over 5 days.
