Discount Calculator

Home › Percentage Calculators › Discount Calculator

Find the sale price and savings after a percentage discount, plus an optional extra discount.

How the calculation works

The sale price is the original price reduced by the discount. An extra discount is applied to the already reduced price.

Formula used

Final price = Price × (1 − d1 ÷ 100) × (1 − d2 ÷ 100)

Example

A $100 item at 20% off is $80, so you save $20.

Frequently asked questions

Are two discounts the same as one combined?

No. 20% then 10% is 28% in total, not 30%.

Does it include tax?

No. Use the sales tax calculator afterwards.
