How the calculation works
The tip is the bill times the tip percentage. The total is split evenly between the number of people.
Formula used
Tip = Bill × Tip % ÷ 100; Each pays = (Bill + Tip) ÷ people
Example
An $80 bill with a 15% tip and 4 people is a $12 tip, $92 total and $23 each.
