Password Generator

Home › Other Calculators › Password Generator

Create strong random passwords with the characters you choose.

How the calculation works

Choose the length and character types, then press Calculate. Passwords are created in your browser using a secure random generator and are never sent or stored. The strength estimate is based on the length and size of the character pool.

Formula used

Strength (bits) = length × log₂(number of possible characters)

Example

A 16 character password using lowercase, uppercase, numbers and symbols has about 103 bits of strength.
